Were you scammed? Act NOW
The first minutes count.
- 1Call your bank at once → block the card and ask for the transactions to be stopped/disputed. Every minute counts.
- 2Call 1911, the national line of the DNSC (National Cyber Security Directorate), free from any network. The specialists guide you step by step.
- 3Report on pnrisc.dnsc.ro, the National Platform for Reporting Cyber Security Incidents.
- 4File a complaint with the Romanian Police if you lost money or identity data, at the station where you live.
- 5Keep all the evidence: do not delete SMS messages, emails or conversations; take screenshots of the number, date, time and content.
- 6Change the passwords of any possibly compromised accounts and turn on two-step authentication.
- 7If the fraud involves financial products/investments, also notify the ASF (asfromania.ro).
Report even if you did NOT lose money. Every report helps the authorities link cases and issue public alerts that protect other people.
