Scam Alert (scamalert.lumosstudio.ro) is run by Lumos Studio, individual (not yet registered as a business), at Roman, Neamț County, Romania. Email: hello@lumosstudio.ro.

Scam Alert is a free platform with information about scams in Romania: an indicative checker (number, message or link), guides, a 60-second test and a report form.

You can use the site freely and at no cost, for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • try to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data;
  • send automated requests in volumes that load the servers;
  • copy the site and present it as your own;
  • use the site for fraud or other unlawful acts.

The site's texts, images, code and design belong to the operator or are used with permission. You may read it, share links and quote briefly with credit. Any other reproduction needs our written consent.

You remain responsible for what you post. You give us the right to display it on the site for as long as you keep it there. Do not post content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, is misleading, or incites hatred or violence.

You can report unlawful content or content that breaks the rules by writing to hello@lumosstudio.ro with the page address and the reason. We review reports with care, tell you what we decided and why, and if we remove content we tell its author and give the reasons. Anyone can contest a decision by writing to us.

The site may link to other people's pages. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.

We work to keep the information correct and the site running, but provide them “as is”, with no guarantee that they will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using the information on the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, or the rights the law gives consumers.

Write to hello@lumosstudio.ro and we will reply as soon as we can. As a consumer you can also use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR/SAL) body: https://anpc.ro/ce-este-sal/.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes go to the competent Romanian courts, without affecting consumers' right to use the courts where they live, where the law gives them that right.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one on this page, with the date above.
